About the College
Govt degree college Talwari-Tharali is located in a picturesque region harvested by Pinder River at its foothill in Chamoli district. At an altitude of 1760 m, the campus is surrounded by diverse vegetation and an awe-inspiring view of Trishul range of Himalayas. Nature has endowed the college area with enchanting greenery, fascinating sight and rare Deodar Trees (Himalayan Cedar).
The college came into existence in the year of 1997 after a long standing struggle by the local people. The College started with 12 undergraduate courses which comprised of six humanities and five science courses.

Affiliated to SDSSU Badshahithaul, today we are in the 24th year of our journey. The objective of this college is to make education completely student centric. Catching up with global technological progress, we are adapting to the modern teaching media/methods and trying to incorporate the available technology to enhance the learning experience and capturing the minds of the learners. The recently introduced software, TCSiON has increased the efficacy of teaching learning process is one positive step forward in this direction. Various other web based applications and software had already been used regularly by the teaching faculty to correspond with students.
